It reliably shows blueshifted absorption features, so it was chosen as an XRISM PV target to study accretion disk wind launching mechanisms. The PV observation caught the system in an unusual state, with much stronger absorption than predicted. This GO1 request is for a repeat 30ks observation of GX13+1, to compare the spectacular PV data with more normal wind absorption in this source.
